The second blob looks like a single squid egg, usually found in bunches like this:

The first pic is a little harder....it might be a white sea cucumber. Did it look anything like this in person? :

The white thing in the first picture appears to be a Peppered Sea Cucumber Cucumaria piperata.
It is a close relative of the White Cucumber

Is it unusual to find a SINGLE squid egg like the one Matt saw? Did something eat all the others?
