This is a great website for identifying and dating. LOADS of info, but it is a bit cumbersome to sift through. Good luck--can't wait to see the pic of it.

I have found old bottles at three tree. There are some good ones there still to be found. I liked searching the 80 - 100 foot range.
I have found some real nice old (100+) bottles in Cove 2. If you know what to look for you can tell if a bottle is old before you pick it up. Now that I returned a lot of my collection back to Puget Sound you might find a few in Cove 2.
If the seam goes all the way to the top then it's probably less than 100 years old. Thats kind of the litmas test for us, if the seam goes to the top we dont keep them unless the bottle looks realy cool. I check all coke bottles to see if they are Christmas cokes even though there seams go to the top.

I would date it some where around the fiftys. If you search the web you can find what the numbers and symbols mean on the bottom of the bottle. Nice find, I have a growing collection of jars and bottles that date to the early 1900s. Try to dive some lakes, usually where I find most of my old bottles.

Scroll down the first page. You will see the owens-illinois glass company logo. looks like the same symbol is on your bottle?

Who run barter town?
Definitely let Valerie have a go at it. She'll be able to tell you more about it than you probably even want to know!
