Looks Like Jeff pulled the plug on Northwest Diver. Guess I will now become active here at Northwest Dive Club. Glad there is an alternative.

Yeah- sorry to hear about all that. Honestly, we did not set this site up to compete w/ NWD in any way, and never had a bad word to say about that site. Anyway, welcome to this one!

I wish he would have provided some notice he was pulling the plug sooner than announced. Disappointing and irritating.

I think you wil find this is a much more active group of divers here I have looked all over the net and no one dives more then these guys do

Yah, looks like the site is going back up again. Erik? (apologies not sure of name) appartenly has worked out a deal or something...

As of this afternoon, Northwest Diver has been sold to a new owner, Erik Rasmussen. I imagine you will be hearing a lot from him over the coming days and weeks. I would ask that any of you who pledged your support to me would do the same for him, and help take NWD to the next level.

For your convenience, the site will be made fully functional as quickly as possible.

Yeah, the site's back up, but after that experience I'm still deciding whether I want to go back or not. For one thing, I'm still reeling a little from seeing him call anybody who didn't give money "leeches." And so far I like this place a lot better.

agree... don't know why he changed over a period of years.. sad...

Has left a bad taste in the mouth for several years, more so the last one..
Been going on for a few years, but he pretty much abandoned the site over a year ago, so it's been less pronounced...

I'm sure you'll enjoy this site as it has a lot of the older members and they're pretty active...

I'm Sure Erik means well and wish him the best...

i was only there a couple of times, and all i received was an email the day before it went down. but hey glad to have you here though, much more active divers! $\:D/$
