19 hour Survival Story

Post by mancub »

Hey everyone
I was not sure if this story had been mentioned on the board yet, but I thought I'd provide a link to it. It tells the story of a couple who survived 19 hours at sea off of the Great Barrier Reef...in shark infested waters.

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/24836740/

Hope everyone enjoyed Memorial Day weekend.

I am getting allergic to the phrase "shark infested waters". :axe:
Ususally used by the news reporters who never looked what is below the surface...
( I do not mean you for posting the story :) )

I take photos because I like it, not because I'm good at it. :) by Unknown

I do too, when I dove the Great Barrier Reef twenty years ago, I did not see any infestation. I was lucky to glimpse one in the distance. That was before they started to chum them with buckets of blood and fish parts :pale:

Im not sure I would call it infested but.....last time I was there there were dozens of sharks in the water and no chuming going on. I think like anywhere else it depends on where you were. The GBR is pretty big.
