new scuba apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch
Re: new scuba apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch
is the USB port on the iPhone only for charging it or docking it to a computer -- or can you plug other peripherals into the iPhone?
Re: new scuba apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch
hm, not sure. buy me an iphone and i'll let you know!
seriously, through, i'm pretty sure you can't use it that way, yet. i know a couple folks that have iPhones and have read a bit about them, and never heard that mentioned.

sucks. if i could plug my sensus pro into an iphone and download the information, apple would have a sale.
Re: new scuba apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch
it has wifi though, so you could transfer data that way. what format is the data in, though? would the iphone be able to read it anyway?
Re: new scuba apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch
if i can program the iphone through the USB interface, i can read it. the documentation on how to address the memory in the sensor is publically available.spatman wrote:it has wifi though, so you could transfer data that way. what format is the data in, though? would the iphone be able to read it anyway?
the sensus doesn't have a wifi interface, so i'd need to hook it up to a computer anyway, which defeats the purpose...

i gotcha. i didn't realize you want to actually program the iphone itself.
