I keep hearing and reading that the pilings at Titlow are scheduled to be removed.... anybody know when that is likely to happen?

I was out there today and got some photos of the pilings in fairly decent viz.....quite pretty to see them in their entirety for a change.

I believe the remove the pilings projects have been put on hold due to budget concerns but I could be wrong.

They should be put on 'hold' permanently and be buried in a deep dark corner of the sea.

Here's another dive I haven't done in way too long. Dan, that top photo is fantastic ... and well captures how magical Titlow is on a good vis day ... thanks!

Wonderful capture of the beautiful plumose-covered pilings.
And yeah, I heard the piling removals everywhere were put on hold. With budget problems the state has right now, I doubt it will be anytime soon that these are removed.

(YAY!)

I wonder if there's any way we can lobby somebody to keep it that way?

Thanks! Its not often that I've been able to shoot them in their entirety from the bottom to the surface. Creosote is a danger, for sure, but there's certainly an argument that there's plenty of other sites that could be done before this one.
