Pacific Ocean Diving Costa Rica
Viz was 10-35 feet ~
Water temperature was 83, but a thermocline around 45 feet dropped the temperature to 73 degrees.
This was the dry season, wind most days, caused water to be 'stirred up' which caused poor viz.
Dive master says the 'rainy season' has best viz because there is no wind.

Enjoy.

Thanks for the report!

Any links to where you were and who you dove with?

Costa Rica is on my list for a TON of reasons!

Nice video and pictures; brings back fond memories. Looks like you had fun.

Anyone wanting to dive in Costa Rica, please consider NOT using Costa Rica Divers. It's a dangerously run operation; our boat sunk from underneath us 2 miles out at the Catalina Islands. We were rescued by an 18-year kid who now runs Pacific Coast Diving (last we heard) (would highly recommend Pacific Coast!). The 4 divers on the boat lost our gear though Costa Rica Diving amazingly recovered all theirs when they went back out but nothing belonging to any of the paying customers. :dontknow: . There's much more to the story but I don't want to totally hi-jack this thread.

Dive company was: http://www.aquacenterdiving.com/home.htm
They were OK. Boat, crew & dive masters were good. Just a note, if you dive with them, bring your own water as they do not provide any on board.

Stayed at the Flamingo MARINA resort. Resort was OK, but getting a little old. Had a nice view from our rooms of the marina bay area.

Probably will not go back as many other places want to dive.
