egg laying

I got some cool shots of egg-laying at Edmonds last Saturday. Lousy viz, but the nudibranchs were out in force!

My annual favorite at this time of year is the Longhorn (Opalescent) nudibranchs Hermissenda crassicornis. They're not as colorful around here as they are further south but they're still one of my favorites.

I believe that this one is actually showing the extrusion of the egg ribbon

Nice photos! They are beautiful things, although my heart belongs to the Janolus fuscus.

Janolus fuscus are one of my faves too..... but sometimes I have a hard time seeing which end is their head! :)
