Glad to see you're busy! I'm on my 3rd day of repairing the "Empress of the North" Been working our backsides off. There are 3 of us diving and we're all pretty sore definitly don't have the energy to be doing flips into the water.

That could be a big part of it but, my partners in this thing both have me by 15 years or so. In other words they are your age....

Diversion Warning!!!

Post by ArcticDiver »

Was down in JNO for the Rotary convention. You folks really treated us NICE. Sunny skies, warm weather for all the days. Even brought a missile cruiser in town for a tour! Now that was interesting.

Now back to your regular programming.

Did you stop by the shop while you were here? I might have been available to dive but I spent 4 days under this:

Ha! No kidding? I saw how she went aground- were you trying to patch her up, Dave?

No trying, we did, I spent somewhere close to 14 hours under her.
Then we pumped her out and went inside and sealed it from the inside as well. It was alot closer to becoming a dive site than the news let on.

Didn't do any backflips into the water though.... Those Sitka people I don't know..... \:D/

We saw her floating??? there. It didn't take a lot of imagination to guess that management had done a very good PR job about the danger level. At least it brought you an opportunity for some extra business. Guess almost all clouds have a silver(gold) lining, eh?

Nope, didn't bring my gear this time. I knew I'd be stuck in the conference. As I said I did play hookey for a couple hours and toured the Bunker Hill since it was moored right across the street.

Next time, I dive.

You've got me scratching my head to remember a guy I once dove with who could do back flip entries with a single tank and dry suit. Never saw him succeed with doubles though.

Tom-Nic and I dove with Diver_Dave and all of his entries were head first! :toimonster:

I'm not kidding, that is his regular entry.

I believe the back flip was his Son.

I actually tried it one time{Head first off the boat} as Dave instructed me how to successfully do it.

It was easy and fun!

I wouldn't have tried it with out proper instruction.

I would recommend, no one else should experiment with this technique.

You should go up to Sitka and I'm sure Dave will show you this special entry, even with a large camera and stobe in hand. It is really quite something to see. You Rock Dave! :supz:

Can't wait to go on a Charter and be brave enough to do it just to see thier reaction.

:laughing3:
