Spend an hour Wednesday evening with marine life ID book illustrator Val Kells as she tells fish stories, shows photos and paintings of her highly detailed work, and answers your questions about the process of making fish ID books. She's already completed Guide to Coastal Fishes from Maine to Texas, and is currently working on a book for our neck of the woods (Pacific Coast)!
I've been following her on facebook as she painted her way through our Sculpins, Rockfish, Perch and Poachers. Very interesting stuff!
