Bones while diving.

Walking threw a friends yard the other day I mentioned to my wife that I occasionally come across a bone or two while diving. I assured her it most likely is from a deer or dog that didn't swim that well. She made the suggestion that I should notify the proper authority's. While I agree with her, what is the likely hood of said bones to be human?

Do you report a bone you see hiking?

Unless you see a bone that you: a) know to be human, a skull would be a good example or b) the bone is part of a body, I wouldn't worry about it. I see whale and seal bones all the time, its not just land mammals dying out there.

On the other hand, the swat team might be having a slow day and could descend on the dive site, and condone it off until the bone could be recovered... :stir:
