If you have friends or family who don't (yet?!) dive, but would still like to see what's down there, I recommend the Seattle Aquarium's Beach Naturalist program. July 12 and 13, with some of the lowest tides of the season, will be great days. Some of the best locations are S. Alki beach (south of the lighthouse), Seahurst, and Golden Gardens (though at GG it involves some walking to get to them).

Especially fun with kids.

The lowest tide is tomorrow (Sunday, July 13) at 12:08pm. I recommend being on the sand by 11am. Seahurst Park is closed for construction this month. South Alki Beach will be know to divers as the Alki Pipeline. Civilians can set their GPS to Beach Drive SW & 63 Ave SW.
