Manacled sculpins on the buoy lines at Cove 2

There are a number of manacled sculpins on the yellow buoy lines, at around 10-15 feet or so. I tried to get a picture of them, but my camera crapped out tonight. (The flash stopped working, meaning the strobe won't fire, meaning black pictures! Yay!)

If you've never seen one, or you want to get a picture, they've been there pretty consistently for the last three weeks at least.

Wonderful!

A good opportunity - those guys are tough to find in the kelp, and then tougher to photograph in water movement.

Oh man, those are some GREAT shots of some very difficult to photograph subjects. Nice going. Long live the manacled sculpin!
