Last week I had the good fortune to spend a few days diving in Monterey, CA with a couple of friends from the area. Here's a few photos and a short video from my GoPro.
The BeachHopperII is a good local dive charter. Captain MaryJo knows some great places inside and out of the bay.
Visiting Monterey allows me to spot some nudibranchs that we don't see up north... like this Spanish Shawl.
or a Jeweled Topsnail.
Or photogenic Strawberry anemones.
and then again, there's the Kelp
If you've looked at these pictures so far you might like the short GoPro Video as well.

Thanks everyone! Viz was about 35 feet the first day, a bit less the second day. As a puget sound diver I confess to a bit of annoyance with the surge, taking macro shots while being tossed back and forth is a real challenge!
