I have a pic from Redondo with a bunch of little gunnels in it. There's also another character to the far left in the pic and I have no clue what it is. Can anyone help ID this fish?www.picasaweb.google.com/cardiver/lesdavis
It's the 33rd picture in the set.

A Red Irish Lord is what it appears to be. That is, if I am looking at the right picture.

That was Amy's guess also. Is it bright green because it's a juvenille?

I don't think it's REALLY bright green...I think the lighting in your photo got a little wonky. Looks almost as if someone's dive light is aimed at it, and sometimes if it's a digital camera, that can mess up the colors a bit. Or anything not within range of the flash on your camera can take on the greenish hue.
BTW, I am really impressed by the pics (photos 7 and 8) you have of that Red Brotula!!! WOWZERS!!! I've heard reports of one there at Les Davis, but nobody ever gets to see more than just a very quick glimpse of it as it disappears quickly into hiding.
HOW on earth did you get that out in the open, and can I please get more details on that sighting?
Wow, Wow Wow!

That was my first dive with a camera. I'm assuming that it's the same one I usually see down there at about 70 fsw that is always way back in a pipe. I was just cruising over to some structure and I looked down and couldn't believe what I saw. That still rates as my top critter I've seen, even though most people dont know what it is. I was really surprised by how many people have never seen one before.
