Interesting.... Can you give us an idea of which ones?

Specifically the house Across from the official parking spots where the hedge is. That guy, in particular, is a nasty piece of work.

From the pic Jeff posted, they shut off all parking in the area except the parking lot.

Now the lot just above the stairs shows some parking for the trail, and I dont think that road is private either.

The road is not private. Its actually a state law that public right of way accessing water cannot be abandoned. But they can limit or even completely eliminate parking.

The parking signs are city-owned. This the label on back.

I love how government solves problems, instead of fixing a popular area, they just close it all off.

Its not ALL closed off and there are about 5 parking spaces. The only reason there is any public access is due to the city owning this area for the sewer pump station. If not for that Three Tree would be BOAT DIVE only site.

Was there a public hearing on any decision making on this?

Not that I am aware of. In August last year I sent an email that got forwarded to someone and they said they were working on a parking plan. Then last month when someone brought it back up I sent another email and ask them about it and if they had any supporting documents that could show where there was legal parking. That is where I got the picture map with the reds dots all over it. I personally have no issues with what I see cause I am trying to look at it from the eyes of the property owners in the area. I think the biggest issue is during the Salmon fishing season as fishermen swarm the beaches with no regards to even asking anyone if it is OK for them to fish from the shoreline. Which is equal to someone walking into your backyard and starting to have a BBQ party without first asking you if its OK. As long as we as divers show respect and not make loud noises I dont think there will be any issues, but then again look at Mr Angry at Day Island. His wife I hear is this really nice lady but he is grumpy. For me I wish there could be some kind of dialog brought up to the home owners in the area. I know alot of us divers have a diverse background and I would rather be friendly and work with them them to have both sides staring and glaring at each other. What I kind of mean is I am pretty good at repairing everyday household things even though I am not licensed for anything. I would be glad to help them keep and repair their homes or what ever other things. I know we have Nurses, Lawyers, Doctors, Techie computer guys and from what I hear there is this Pool Guy also. ;-) Basically we can live in harmony and help one another rather then fight it out.
