FREE Copy of Advanced Diver Magazine

Post by John Rawlings »

If any NWDC members would like a free copy of Advanced Diver Magazine, go to this link on Rebreather World, follow the instructions exactly, and ONE free copy will be mailed to your home address.

Remember, follow the instructions EXACTLY, even the part about typing in "Rebreather World Free ADM Copy", (even though you may NOT be a member of RBW). This link is a post by ADM Publisher Curt Bowen on the Rebreather World web-site. Curt has OK'd its use for NWDC members:

Darn it... I missed this... ](*,)

Time to ditch some of the mass circulation ad magazines masquerading as diving publications and subscribe to a good one... ADM.

Agreed! ADM rocks. :supz:

However, the latest issue of SCUBA diving magazine had an article by Dan Pontribrand (I bet I just misspelled his name) About the Warren investigation, featuring a host of local dive maniacs, including a few friends of ours! (Can't remember their names, but a real motley looking bunch....you'd probably recognize them!)

They don't have the latest issue on their website yet, but it's a cool article- pick it up if you see it on the news stand.

Disclaimer: I bought some stuff from Scubatoys.com, and got a free subscription that I didn't even ask for- kinda cool, because I wouldn't normally pay for it.....they have pretty pictures, and "Lessons for Life" is always entertaining, though

Agreed, and I just read the issue you referred to... There are a good publications out there and not so good ones.

But, now that I've finally had a warm water diving experience, sitting around the house looking at the mags full of pics of amazing warm water destinations as I sigh deeply is going to get old...

Hey John, any idea when the next issue of ADM will be coming out? I thoroughly enjoyed the last one (with the article on the plane in Lake WA).

Thanks!

so amazing. i also found the article on retrieving the ship's bell impressive in that for 20-something minutes of bottom time, there was a 270 minute ascent...

i can grow a beard in that amount of time...

Yeah.....and THAT was on closed circuit rebreaters! Not sure how that would hash out on open circuit, but it would be way longer!
