Harvesting in the PNW
Hey y'all. Are there any books/resources for harvesting in the PNW? I'm not talking about long cod, dungies, etc. I'm asking about seaweeds, urchins, sea cucumbers, scallops, clams, etc. I am just curious about what sorts of things can be eaten. Also, not really interested in hearing about regulations, etc. I would obviously research those before any harvesting. Not even sure I want to do it, just curious and I could not find any books.

Some one ought to eat a few urchins....
We used to have a Korean diver that would routinely harvest CA sea cucumbers.

There was a book titled "Edible? Incredible!" which covered what you ask.

There is a great book on saltwater foraging, called "Edible? Incredible!". It is really good, and was written by Marjorie Furlong and Virginia Pill. Long out of print, but you can still get used copies off Amazon. It covers edible animals and seaweeds, their preparation and cooking, and gives you some recipes.
