Flagpole GPO Update

On a whim - I decided to go back out to Flagpole this past Saturday
Thankfully, even with all the rain that we've had - viz was still at about 20 feet.
(And - this weekend was a big tide exchange weekend.)
During this Winter - I've now seen GPOs out in the open on three out of three dive trips.
This time - I finally brought my wide angle lens (had to dust it off first!) and gave it a try.
Here are a couple of pics of a GPO at 90 feet deep at the second pinnacle. He is resting easy - about ten feet away from his den.
Also - the two octos with eggs are still aerating their eggs (they are also turning color).
And - I saw two wolf eel couples with eggs.
