End July Start August in 'The Hood'

Post by PapaZ »

My brother and I enjoyed diving the last day of July and first day of August in Hood Canal Waters.
Dive sites were "The Cove' and Sund Rock North Wall.
Upper 8 feet of water temperature was 65 degrees, but at depth it was 49 degrees.
Viz was good top 10 feet, murky to 35+ feet and below that nearly 25 feet of viz with little haze.
Minus 3.5 foot tides both days which meant longer walks with gear into and out of waters.

Enjoy our five minute multimedia of cold water marine life.
