The second blob looks like a single squid egg, usually found in bunches like this:

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/PenelopeStJ ... 7282"><img src="http://lh3.google.com/PenelopeStJohn/R4 ... s.jpg"></a>

The first pic is a little harder....it might be a white sea cucumber. Did it look anything like this in person? :

The white thing in the first picture appears to be a Peppered Sea Cucumber Cucumaria piperata.

It is a close relative of the White Cucumber
Eupentacta quinquesem.

Notice the piercing white light in the background. Hey Joe, does your light look anything like that.......No I didn't think so! Haha.

Is it unusual to find a SINGLE squid egg like the one Matt saw? Did something eat all the others?

Oh, you boys and your light saber lights! :)

Something must have eaten them. They're so exposed and hard to miss that I'm surprised that any make it at all.
