Nope. Not a PS King Crab. It's a helmet crab.

Definitely a helmet crab. We've seen a lot of those at Harper's Ferry.

It definately is not a Puget Sound King Crab. When young they are a bright orange and purple in color. As they grow into adults they are a little more drab colored but still kind of orange/red/purple. Where is Keystone Jetty?
Don't eat octos...count them!

Keystone Jetty is on Whidbey Is. It should be in our dive sites on the main board..

This picture is of a Juvenile Puget Sound King Crab. It was taken at the Keystone Jetty.
