California demanded a prescription mask as tribute, when I dove Deadman's Reef. (It wasn't worth it.)

In return, I have found a number of weights, and a mask and snorkel which had been down long enough to grow barnacles.

Backup mask that wasn't clipped off in my pocket, and a brand-spankin new SK7 that decided to leave my wrist.

Oh, and my credit rating.

I've been pretty lucky over the years, a couple masks back when I first started and a knife or two, 1 cheap lift bag we were using on a job(billed it to the job). That's about it so far.

I think a snorkel or two, but I've found that many snorkels, so I broke even. Also have found masks, weights, knives, a small light or two, assorted tools (hatchet, wrench, screwdrivers). Fortunately I've not yet lost anything valuable.

Lost a lot of stuff, but found almost all of it on the same dive. The ditchable weights for my BC never made it back yet :( 3x I have lost/found my goody bag. 2 of those times it sat in the water for the whole dive, and at the end I go looking for it and find it. I've lost things in the silt, wait for the current to clear the cloud and then have found the item. I keep thinking I am going to lose my gaudy $8 survival knife I dive with, but no luck so far.

The next time you're in the shallows of Alki Pipeline keep an eye out for a 3 C scout light... the old style body.

I donated one this past tuesday :(

That stupid knot had been on there for over a year.
