Sounds like a chronic problem with o-rings of poor quality or improper material.

It happened to mine. I'd had it for about 5 days when,at 3 in the morning, I had the c*** scared out of me ! The o ring looked exactly like the one in the previous pic.

We've got 2 130's and 2 100's - all Worthington, and haven't had a problem... it probably was a set of bad o-rings.

I have four hp100s, and no ring failure. My rings are not blue they are black. I have come across others with ring failures of that same color, but not Worthington, and not that particular ring. I suspect the issue is not with the brand of cylinder, rather it is with the brand of o-ring.
