Re: Pink Tritonia with a weight problem
This strange pink tritonia was found at Point Hudson this weekend. Don't know if it's a weight problem, an illness or just in need of another pink to get rid of a load of eggs. What ever the problem it seemed in iminate danger of exploding at any minute. She's not FAT! She's big-boned! Errr... um.....

That would be me! Yay!Readers of this thread are asking "how do I" and "will you show me". That sounds like progress.
So, in brevity, how do we get the ball rolling to arrange a No Silt Education Dive Day?

Re: What to do about the silt
As an FYI, I honestly have no idea about how bad a silter I am, because I haven't done an out and back dive, yet - it's usually a circuit. I also don't quite yet have the knack of hanging upside down to look behind me. So, honestly, having someone TELL me, in kind and supportive ways, would be outst...

Go dry gloves and use the "Hot Hands" hand warmers. They work great! Newbie question: can one use dry gloves in a wet suit? I mean, can they be independent units? B/c I'm toasty everywhere else and I love my BARE! (no "oh just you wait, little missys" about dry suits - I know, I...

We did our open water dives for class at Sunnyside, and went out to the pipeline. The weekend after the class, Matt and I went to the site again, so that I could practice some stuff, but we didn't find the pipeline the second time (went in at a different part of the beach, and nada. Kinda boring tha...

Silty the Seal would work better ... anybody who's dived with the damn things will know why ... ... Bob (Grateful Diver) So a T-shirt like "Don't be Silty the Seal! Kick responsibly!" Hmmm. Too cute? How about a tongue twister? Silty the Seal should be shot! Too violent? I'm just spit-bal...

I vote for Silty the Shark, who can sneak up to bite your ass if you muck up vis.Do we need a Woodsy Owl type character and a marketing campaign?

Re: Confessions of a Warm Water Wussie
Does anyone have any advice on heating up just the tips of the fingers? I do fine on the rest of my body, but my fingertips get cold every time. It hasn't yet negatively impacted a dive, in that I haven't had to call one short, but it'd be nice to be more comfortable for those 50 or so minutes.
