Re: Octo....Octopus HOOOOOLE

Pepe is a squat lobster,
I should have said "crustacean", instead, so that I didn't look quite as silly. Crab-like? Ah well.

Thanks for the clarification Dusty! :bounceline:

Octo....Octopus HOOOOOLE

Matt and I went to Octopus Hole today, and probably the MOST exciting thing for me was that it was my 10th dive. That's right! I've moved into double digits! I'm VERY excited, which is why the subject line should be sung, when you read it. We went to the shallow wall and saw tons of stuff, including...

Re: Too much time on my hands

Look. I'm posting to myself. More too much time: This website is simply ... WRONG. I'm posing the link to this particular page for the bread commercial video about halfway down the page. I am a girl of the 80's, but SERIOUSLY? http://pictureisunrelated.com/page/3/ Anyone have their own "too muc...

Too much time on my hands

So, I'm just surfing the net, waiting for Matt to finish packing up, and I came across this web site http://www.rinkworks.com/dialect/ It says "The Dialectizer takes text or other web pages and instantly creates parodies of them! Try it out by selecting a dialect, then entering a URL or English...

Honestly, I thought that you had photoshopped those pictures, because they look completely UNREAL so I looked up "squid fertilization penis" in google - and mostly got normal sites. But OH! The horror of the sex lives of squid! http://www.spiegel.de/international/zeitgeist/0,1518,598222,00...

Neat! So the eggs are fertilized after? I thought they were fertilized while still in the cavity.

Cool! ... Now I want to see a video of this taking place!

Okay, I took this off the net. But now you know what they look like. Awesome photos, Pez, and good visual to my question! But Pez, I already KNEW that! I saw them on my 5th dive at Sunnyside (the only interesting thing we saw that day, as I practiced my trim and buoyancy). What I don't know is how ...

Squid sex

No, I don't have a picture of it. I have a question about the egg sacks. If I remember my 1992 Zoology correctly, the female squid has a bunch of eggs just floating in her mantle, and the boy squid swims up to her with the romantic gift of a spermatazoa packet (awww, yummy!). He then says hey baby a...

"I coulda been a contender!" What a drag about the fall! I'm so very sorry and I hope you have a very speedy recovery, not too much pain, and a lot of people pampering you over the next 2 months - POOF, make it so! On the plus side, you have a KILLER shiner, and so that's something. (I use...

Agreed! I'm also pretty impressed that she found anywhere in the park that was 45 feet deep! I think I got to, like, 32 feet there once....
I was in the ferry lane, of course!

... without a light

... at 500 PSI

... in shorts ...

Textbook dive, I think!
