Re: battries.
It's not so much the cheap battery quest, as I get my batteries for next to nothing. I was looking for a more environmental approach and, if I'm lucky a slight boost in power. Thanks for the links!

Re: battries.
Just exploring the notion of putting them in my SL6. Thanks to Dusty it's got a blazing new LED in it now. Like I need something else to stuff into my brain and think about.

As I get older I'm learning things about myself. I quit eating beef years ago as it "disrupts" my body. I'm phasing out pork, as it screws things up also. Chicken is almost history and I can't eat fish cuz I swim with there cousins. and I really love fish tacos and beer. A beer and a salad...

Re: DUI weight and trim for sale.
The rust is only surface rust in a few spots, and it is super adjustable so it should fit you. PM me your cell and I'll shoot you a pic. I have had it for just over a year and used it twice, I got it used so I don't really know how old it is.

Two mushrooms were talking in a bar. One says "I don't get it, I can't get a date no matter how hard I try. I don't understand it, I'm a fungi."

DUI weight and trim for sale.
Used DUI weight and trim for sale. Size medium, I'm almost 6 foot and 230 pounds and it fits me fine. Asking $50.00, it's just collecting dust in my garage, fair condition, some rust on the grommets. PM me if your interested, just looking for some cash to get a led upgrade for my light. Thanks.

Re: be a good neighbor ...
I know a handful of people who live on Day Island, most of them nice people. A few like us, a few don't care one way or the other. The rest are very possessive of "their" island, like neighborhood watch on steroids. The overly possessive one even tick off the locals a bit. So while it migh...

Perhaps a 2 inch crotch strap instead of the 1 inch, mumbling to himself as he limped back to his car.

Re: A Thank You to our Instructors
Wow having just been to Maui hearing of this shakes me. I have always wanted to dive with the people on this board but my work schedule has never let it happen. It sounds like everyone involved kept a cool head and did what was nessasary. I hope I am not out of line here, but would you mind sharing ...

I thumbed a dive.
While in Maui a few weeks ago, my wife, 17 year old son and I went to 5 graves to do our last dive of the trip. We had gone there the previous day at about 2 PM and the water was fine. We arrived at 9 the next morning and the water was a bit crappy, plus it was getting worse. Now our 17 year old has...

Well my dives with Shaka Doug are not going to happen, scheduleing conflicts. So we are doing shore dives by ourselves.

My game plan is to dive with Doug a few times then decide if we want to go out on our own.

Re: Is it worth it?
I'm heading to Maui in a week. Looked into a boat dive, no thanks, they all go to the crater. Hooked up with Shaka Divers and am going to do a few shore dives for less than the price of a boat!

ARG Titlow, almost.
Was all set to join a shop dive at Titlow this evening. Borrowed a HP 120 to check the fit and feel to see if its for me. All my gear in my car ready to go. The plan, stop home after work feed the dogs grab a bite myself and take off. Plenty of time right? Well my boss calls me and I wind up in Olym...

Focus people focus, I don't have boobs! I have a tank that flops around and am only slightly concerned about having a ton of ditchable weight. ![:) :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Re: Let's beat this horse one more time please.
I really appreciate all the input, I like the added plates that DSS offers. I could greatly reduced the weight in my harness. I to have a bit of biopreine I need to ditch. More research is in order. Thanks again all.

Re: Let's beat this horse one more time please.
Right now I dive AL80's. In the market for new tanks also, so I was thinking of getting both at the same time. Rather than getting used to one new piece of gear then starting over with something else. I am looking at either an HP100 or a HP120.
