I got Hit HARD .... LMJ
I've been hit by a man'o'war in Hawaii while swimming, and raw papaya helped reduce the pain - papain is the enzyme in most meat tenderizer. topically, it's supposed to denature the proteins venom in nematocysts. Worked for me.

Looking for classes in the Portland Area
Howdy all,
I've got zero dive experience, and want to change that. I live in Portland, and was wondering if anyone had suggestions as far as good instructors/shops to go to - looking for basic open water and drysuit instruction.

Howdy All, I'm a total newb, both to this board and to diving, so go easy. First, I have zero experience diving, beyond swimming to the bottom of a pool on occasion, and the three times that I have tried snorkeling. I'm a terrible swimmer at best, a mediocre kayaker, and an excellent question asker....
