I'm so sorry for your loss, but how amazing is it that you're taking her on all these adventures! I love the image of her under the Saguaro in the sun, and floating in the waves on all the beaches. What a glorious way to honor her! He was passionate about the Keys, and I've never dove there, so we w...

Thank you both so much. Loss is a part of being human, but it's still very hard. I'm sorry that you've had to go through this too, but I'm grateful for your knowledge.

Scattering remains?
My dad passed away at the end of last week and was cremated. As he was an avid scuba diver and the inspiration for myself and my sister to get certified, we would like to scatter his ashes in the ocean that he loved so much. We're from Georgia, so most of his diving was done in Florida, with a stint...

JFC. Not cool! Especially considering that lead and arsenic are already enough of a problem there. :(

I am of the "loves me some seals!" club, even when they muck up the viz. They're so cute it's hard to be mad.

Re: Speaking of Keystone
When looking at specific dive times, it's better to consult current predictions instead of tide charts, and time your dive(s) around slack. There are a number of websites that are pretty good - I usually use this one. Saturday looks to be a pretty good day to go, but I'll let others who dive Keyston...

Re: Ambon Indonesia
Beautiful! I love frogfish! The amount of plastic above and below the water is pretty appalling, and it's everywhere. :( When we were in Belize, our house had a groundskeeper that kept the beach clean (by shoveling plastic-filled sargassum several times a day), but a lot down the beach was empty, an...

Very cool! Titlow is one of my favorite sites!
It can be hard to predict slack there. I believe that the predictions in the Northwest Shore Dives book is off by a half an hour, but I can't ever remember in which direction.
