Re: What is you favorite recreational tank size
60' and shallower - such as goofing around at the junkyard - hp80 something like the i-beams (80-100ish) or am video'ing something, or diving with an unknown or new to me buddy then HP100, which i guess is really my go to. Deeper than 100, or 80-100 for any length of time with the camera or for long...

Pool shoot BtS
When I'm not trying to improve my #360video or wanking around with creative lighting or being a masochist trying to shoot macro, periodically I get to do some cool pool shoots for local film productions... Here is a screen grab from BtS... Yes, we even had an art department that made us some shrubbe...

Re: Okay those with long hair... What do you do with it?
Oooo... I shudder just thinking of the rats nest that baby shampoo will cause. Part of the reason for the conditioner is that it helps with the tangles, drying out of hair and ripping and tearing out... Shampoo in it's place, on salt water abused hair may help with donning but will for sure not help...

Re: Okay those with long hair... What do you do with it?
My hair has varied from long to short to long to short to long over the years numerous times. The only real answer I've found for when it is long that is truly comfortable, doesn't rip out hair and doesn't destroy it or turn it into a massive rats nest of tangles is an attached dryhood. In lieu of d...

Re: Bomber Line
Maybe someone wrapped a scooter prop up and had to cut it free and just hasn't had a chance to fix it yet? (giving the community benefit of the doubt) I take it it was all gone, too far to find with gap reel and compass heading? (so next team going out knows what they might need to fix) It would be ...

I love diving with them... They can be quite the pranksters, last time was down here in mid sound, was trying to get the perfect shot of an anemone so was very focused. Apparently the sea lion was there, watching, watching, watching, waiting, watching, waiting, watching, till I looked up over the ca...

I haven't checked in the past few hours but as of this morning the poo warning is all the way down to Alki beach park. Obviously several miles north of Redondo but as we all know, 'it's all connected'...Bric Martin wrote:For the geographically challenged, is Redondo safe to dive this weekend?

Re: Wet suit for loan?
Haha, I've heard the "there are two types of wetsuit wearers" adage. Sorry if this is TMI, but I can easily hold a 1.5 hr dive in the sound, and have done 3hr+ dives in the sound with no pee-valve, so I promise I will be good on the suit :) I don't think he was worried about your pee.... ;)

Re: First time out with GH4 + Olympus 60mm macro
I pushed back against getting an external monitor for years after switching from L&M housing that had one integrated. It took me one dive to get totally addicted to it again
. Now I'm just sorting out the cables to make what I have compatible with all my systems.

Stephen, Yes and no... I'm used to shooting with a tiny viewfinder with regards to framing and with the peaking i can for see when things are generally in focus. Now I'm using an Atomos Shogun in Nauticam housing as external monitor and off board recorder (for prores footage) which makes finding foc...
