I HAVE A NEW GUN!!!!

Don't forget a stringer. Trying to put fish in a catch bag sucks, especially if it's a nice size Ling. Did that last year.
Well I HAD one... :stickwhack:

I haven't picked up a new one yet, but will soon.

Re: Neah Bay May 14-16

I plan to show on Saturday Morning and stay until Sunday. If you can save a spot for my tent that would be awesome. I have a pretty large tent though. I only have two tanks though and am working on seeing what I can do about that. I, being a morning person am usually up by 0630 or so and clanking a...

Re: Neah Bay May 14-16

I just ordered a new gun. As long as it's here by then, I'm in! I need someone to show me the ropes of spearfishing. Chad, you taught me how to find scallops, how about spearing??? Don't let lack of a gun stop you from coming. I have 2 and a pole spear. Just understand, I am not the burni...

Need instructor for one on one open water certification.

I have a friend that wants to get his open water certification. Since Bob's no longer doing it, I'm not sure where to recommend for him to go. He wants one on one, and as a recent graduate, can't afford much (maybe $200?). Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks.

Re: Adventures in Spot Prawning

Looks tasty! Two questions: Were you more limited by the number of shrimp you found or your ability to catch them? I heard there are only two days when it's legal to catch them by hand. Does anyone know when the other day is? Greg and I were limited by the number - we caught all that we saw, but I ...

Re: Adventures in Spot Prawning

I guess Greg and I saw/met you last night! We were in the silver vibe that pulled up a bit later than most. Greg and I only caught three shrimp, but that's all we saw. I had put 80' as our ceiling, but heard that they were mostly deeper. Sounds like Saturday had been a better day for them. Also saw ...

Mineral Lake has tons! http://www.minerallake.com/ Need traps to get them. To many hiding places for them to just grab them. They come out at night.... and they're silly, you can just grab them. They don't live in salt water. They grow inland in ponds and swamps.

Are you going to make it this year?
Yeah, I know ;)

And definitely coming, wouldn't miss eatin' mudbugs for anything!

Mukilteo 4/25

Greg and I went for a relaxing dive today, first of the year for us! We did realize that vis has been poor lately, and didn't expect much. While the water was thick with 'marine snow', we could see about 12'. There were tons of little jellies out there, different species, and ctenophores! I love cte...

Mukilteo Sunday 4/25

Greg and I are doing a dive at Mukilteo T-docks Sunday for anyone that wants to join. We haven't been there before, so someone that has would be a plus! But we are checking out a new piece of equipment, checking out all our other gear since we haven't been in the water for some time, and probably do...

Sounds like a great set-up for people rushing to go 'swim with the cuddly leopard seal' and then getting mauled! Good thing they're so far away and not in a place people normally 'rush' to for a vacation!

Re: Who's your LDS and Why??

I have been happy with Tacoma Scuba and NWSD. Neither are close to me, in fact, I have to drive quite a bit out of my way to get to either shop. I've never had a problem with Underwater Sports in Seattle, but some of the people there don't seem very friendly, and it feels like it's a sales-store onl...

Re: Can't afford a drysuit??

Yes, the ice fit is what I have - I, of course, paid the retail price, not the cheap price now listed. It seems like I got the crap end on a lot of items when I first started out, and I even went to a LDS! Actually though, I can't complain a ton about my suit (other than the price at the time) - at ...
