Re: Bottom Timer and Tables vs. Computer

Decompression is very well known about it has been studied for over 100 years. The human body is not static it is a fluid environment that is changing form day to day. What works one day may not work a few days later depending on you physical and psychological state. What works for you may not work ...

Re: Has anyone dove at Cannon Beach, Oregon?

Not much their but sand and surf dives. you may find something off the state park but you have to go south to find a decent dive on the Or coast pretty barren. If you have a scooter at least you can cover good distances and that will make it a little more interesting of a dive. But if you have never...

Re: A question about mixed team diving

I think it would be a great thing to do so count me and my rEvo in. This weekend as it is a holiday weekend is probably not a good one. There really is not too much of a difference in a CCR or OC buddy check. And only one real difference in the water and that is rescue technique. 1. Buddy check. The...

Scooter Customization

How many of you out there have customized your scooters? This is what I have put on mine and it has been a hit down here in California. Even the life guards have gotten a kick out of it.

Re: Skills needed for technical diving

Last Friday I ran into what I thought looked to me like a 10 to 12 foot bull shark it was awfully dark on top. but turned out to be a white they do not have bull sharks here and the whites get dark for the sun. Saturday a instructor saw it when he was out with a few students also. Down here no one g...

We have an almost embarassing wealth of cool critters in our daily diving here in the Puget Sound! :prayer: I agree wholeheartedly!!! I'm so jealous of you guys that get to dive the sound as often as you want to. Even on a short dive (I got cold :crybaby: ) at Redondo on Sunday I saw a GPO, gunnels...

Re: Where to start?

i added up my trimix bills for the year so far and i have spent more than 4k on OC. Nitrox for deco and OC dives over 5k and that was till March before i got the rEvo. now it is very little. 2 dives to 320 feet cost's just under $500 OC, $50 on CCR. the economics work out if you dive the rig. DM'ing...

you are talking about Kirby. Always prepared whether an anchor, downriger ball, dive gear, or a body. one should always dive with two SMB's or LB's one yellow Emergency, one Red surface marker with at least 50 lbs of lift. especially when solo diving like he does most often. Kirby you may want to sa...
