Re: Everything you ever wanted to know but were afraid to ask

Lighter fare... Have you ever taken a liquid with you (water, juice, coffee, etc) while diving, and successfully been able to take a drink without getting a mouth full of seawater? If so, how did you do it? Does a Camelback work? How 'bout a plastic bottle with a pull-top spout, like bicyclists use...

Now that's a water leak!

A light but interesting article about saturation diving in NY's water supply in the Times on Sunday:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/23/nyreg ... wanted=all

And a local commercial diving outfit here in Seattle gets a little press too.

Me too... it's creeping by. Anyone want to meet in downtown Seattle for a martini lunch? Crap. I just got back from lunch and it was martini-less. Give me more of a heads up if you're drinking during the day downtown. I did stop by the Pacific Marine Expo this morning at Qwest... and was totally bo...

Sounds like we have a pretty good turnout tonight. I will see you all there. Someone is going to be there with bells on. That will be a first for me. I hope he attracts some six gills. I haven't seen one there in several years. Well crap, I guess I need to find some non figurative bells on short no...

I saw these folks at the Ballard farmer's market recently: Puncontrollable.com.

Expensive shirts... but funny nonetheless.

Fundies on Dec 4

All, I'm all signed up for the fundies on Dec 4 here in Seattle with Steve, and was wondering if anyone else was interested in taking the class at that time. Or does anyone know of a diver out there that is even moderately interested? Right now I'm the only person who has applied for the class on GU...

Re: iDive case from H2OAudio

I found my iriver housing the other day. It might fit a nano or shuffle if someone wants to play with it. It has never been used since I bought it on a lark a couple years ago.

PM if you're interested in borrowing it.

Elliot Bay Chocolate Milk

I think the Duamish needs some immodium AD. Or maybe someone redirected the Mississippi river into Puget sound last night? I took these photos this morning from Pier 69 on Elliot Bay right near high tide across the water from Alki. If anyone is headed to cove2 today I would rethink you plans. From e...

http://www.h2oaudio.com/waterproof_dive.php Anyone here used one of these yet? Just curious. I buddied up with someone on a dive boat in Hawaii a few years ago that had one of those h2oaudio iriver dealies. Even for the required stop at 15 feet it was pretty fun to hang there and listen to one of h...

Pinnacle 3mm marino wool lined wetsuit . Its as warm as a 5mm. And I've beaten a couple pinnacle wetsuits up pretty hard and I'm here to say they're sturdy as all get out. Wool is your friend. You can cop a feel of my wool lined drysuit hood the next time we bump into each other. A back inflate BC ...

Re: what car would make a good dive car? yes-- this is gear :)

I would cast another vote for an Honda element. For me its not just the rubber floor mats/hosability, spaciousness, honda reliability, etc... at my height I just fit in the thing really well... which is a rarity. The seats and mirrors and everything are just in the placed right for my frame. However...

I'm not sure any backup style light is bright enough for the über darkness of the pacnorwest daylight to be used a primary. And that's not just because of how freaking bright other people's lights are that I dive with. -Eric The Raider should be bright enough. It's got the same LED I use in my prim...

There seem to be several versions of the Raider. What do I need to know between the versions besides just plain old price? And what is a goodman handle? Or a light sock?
