Re: Thank you.
How about just PNW diver? While it's generally acknowledged that wetsuit divers are a shade or two crazier than the rest of us, we're all special idiots for voluntarily diving in dark, cold, water! Try diving in WI. I once got so bored on a dive that I swam into a sunken tree. No joke. Zoned out an...

Ah yes! I had almost completely forgotten until you mentioned it! What a cute little guy. Here he is:Mattleycrue76 wrote:Interesting that you mention the puget sound king crab. I saw one just like you described there on the 12th. First time I'd come across one. I think Eliseaboo got some pics.

Re: Thank you.
Now, I need to figure out a reason to go to Wisconsin! Summerfest, wreck diving in Lake Michigan, brats soaked in beer then grilled, deep-fried cheese curds, roadside corn on the cob stands, summer temps that justify a swimming pool, Miller Mile indy car races....just a few reasons to hit up Wiscon...

Thank you.
To all members of NWDC: A huge THANK YOU for being so kind to me during my months in the PNW. There aren't a whole lot of places in this world where you can show up and be so completely welcomed. People have invited me on their boat, sold me equipment, met me mid-day at dive sites, and even toured S...

I owe someone money for a no-show....PM me with an address or something, as I'm in Montana, and headed back to the great, landlocked state of WI for some fresh-water gear rinsing :-P

Re: Titlow/DIW
Sorry we missed you Elise! We got there a little past 8:00 pm because our Titlow dive started out later. So are you still in the area for a while? Sat. night at Redondo, 10:00pm? :smt064 Hey Ron? What is that Nudibrach called? Janolus Fusca? Opalecent? :smt064 I soooooooooooo want to do that dive! ...

Re: Titlow/DIW
I tried to find you at DIW, but I must have been early (I came slightly after 7, that's what I thought the original thread had said). There were some other divers there that seemed fairly put off by our being there, and I wasn't going to dive DIW without someone from the area, so my buddy Bob and I ...

My friend bailed...I'll eat the cost of the ticket if I have to, but if anyone has a friend that wants to come along last minute style....well, they can still have the group rate
Otherwise...see you all tonight!

I'm in with +3 (so 4 total). I may or may not do drinks and dinner ahead of time, I'll know more in the coming day and a half...I have 5 people coming out to visit me and one additional co-worker staying near Seattle, so I have many people to keep happy......but don't worry, the 3 who are coming are...

How many does this...vehicle...hold? Or rather, how big of groups can they accomodate? I'm sure more than 10. I have 2 that would accompany me, but I'm waiting on an email response to see if they're actually interested...

Re: Diving June 17-21
So I think we've decided to axe the Canada idea...there is just too little time and there are two divers versus 4 non-divers that will be here, so staying closer seems to make more sense. I kind of want to dive these three sites: Keystone, Redondo, and EUP. I know Keystone can be current sensitive, ...

Re: Things to do near Seattle?
These are some great ideas! I will see what they think...the wooden boats thing actually sounds pretty cool to me...
I think we're going to hit up the aquarium at some point. I've heard that can take a good day to see it all.

That sounds lovely, and I might actually be there...my dive buddy flies out the next day and won't be able to dive, but I'll see if they want to go hang out with some cool divers anyway

Things to do near Seattle?
Hello great members of NWDC... I have some people coming to visit me for a few days before I head home, and shockingly, only one of the five is a diver. So while I will be doing some diving with him (and any others interested -- see my other thread) I was hoping to come up with a few suggestions for...

Re: N end Monday Night Muk report 5/8
Wow, nice pictures Doc! Looks like a nice dive :) I had that same problem with my camera a few weeks ago, and almost again today at Keystone. I've been told if you make sure you put your camera in the water lens down any condensation will form on the other side of the housing...don't know if that's ...

Missed the early ferry. The 10:20 ferry...was full. Summer has arrived. :tappingfoot: The next ferry puts me into Anacortes around 3, so it'll be close to 5 by the time I get there...I might have to skip the first dive (I wear a lot of neoprene.....) and do the later dive, unless someone else is run...

Re: FINALLY Back In The Water
The first step in treating a problem is admission. And since I don't intend to treat it, why bother admitting it?
