Re: Got my harness today!!!
Wahoo! :joshsmith: I love getting new equpiment, and fortunately (unfortunately?) I've heard that feeling doesn't wear off... The only thing I got in the mail recently was a new pair of fins...and some aquaseal... I've heard the true way to streamline your gear is to dive wet. Yeah, that's it. That'...

Diving June 17-21
Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice. I have a friend coming out to visit me before I leave for home again (sad, as I will truly miss the diving out here!) and I wanted to come up with some sites to dive. Of course, all other divers are welcome, the more the merrier :) I was hoping to do one or two...

I want to join in the fun too :( Why oh why did I choose this week to fix my car...oh yeah, because it failed the last two times I attempted to do a weekend dive...
I hope you all have fun...leave Thursday the 18th open because I *will* be diving!

Re: a couple of micro critters for Greg and Leslie
Wow, those are fantastic! I have to wonder though...and forgive me if this is a silly question...but if they're too small to see with the naked eye (at least well)...how do you see them to photograph them? Is it sort of chance, do you look through your other photos to see what you've caught?

Re: This Friday and Sunday
I was totally down with diving this weekend, but it turns out my car will be with the mechanic until...oh, Friday afternoon, just in time for the end of my day off. So my diving depends on the availability of another car at camp ...we'll see

Way to bust me for being a lame-o and losing not one but TWO buddies guys... #-o To be fair, you try keeping four people you just met, in scuba gear, with the same fins (at least, that's how they appear underwater) straight...especially when there are two there, one swims down the line, and another ...

I'm down with that...last time I tried to do the Muk my car failed at the ferry landing...let's hope better luck this time!
Shall we say...11? I couldn't meet earlier than that anyway, after all the travel time is factored in.

Re: This weekend (May 29/30)
It looks like I will be making a run to Onamac point with a couple of folks Saturday morning if you would like to go. I will be launching the boat from Oak Harbor Marina (right outside the seaplane base). Chad PM sent I'd be in for some diving Friday if you are willing to let a random n00b tag alon...

This weekend (May 29/30)
Anyone wanna dive? I'm thinking a few Friday, with a night dive if there are any takers, and a Saturday morning dive (perhaps, if I don't have something else going on) Unless there's anyone up near Anacortes that would like to dive Thursday night, but most of you are quite far south for that... -Elise

I thought your 100th dive was supposed to be done naked....or do they just tell that to the gals in the Bahamas
Seriously though, sounds like a good 100th dive!

Re: Dead Cabezons??
Maybe the algae bloom is causeing high levels of nitrates.. Or useing up a lot of the oxygen in the water ? Just a speculation , I'm not a marine biologist, and am just wondering also ? That happens with our lakes back home. Fertilizers wash into the lake from lawns, golf courses, etc, causing high...

Re: Nudibranch ID
That was quick! :thankyouyellow: Edit: interesting information...is there anything I can do to keep him doing well? He seems to be fairly content, but it's hard to say, you know...he was found in one of our holding tanks, and I'm not sure what we had in there before, but I don't think hydroids are s...

Nudibranch ID
So this guy showed up in one of our tanks recently, I think he may have come in as a plankter and settled in for good. I can't find him in any of my books, can someone tell me what he is? He's super cute, whatever he is!
