Have a camping trip coming up in the summer time to the Grant County/Crescent Bar area on Columbia River… for you eastern Washington folks, wondering if there are any areas near there worth diving?

So… what did I find…
Hi All, Doing a summer trip with the family and decided to do a quick few dives in Lake Chelan. While diving, found a few wheel like objects and what appeared to be a wooden ladder. I brought the best looking wheel up (as well as a Safeway shopping cart… figured since I’m lifting things, might as we...

Re: Hypothetical Question (sorta): What do you do if you find a firearm while diving?
If you can mark the location (say with a SMB or other buoy) that would be best to help the police identify the location. The best thing is to keep it submerged in water. When you expose it to air, oxidization/rust really takes hold. You could bring it up to the shore area, keeping it submerged as lo...

Re: Crabbing
I was up there on July 22nd and caught my limit, didn't see any signs saying it was closed. Should be good Togo, unless something has changed in the last few weeks.

Crabbing?
A buddy and I were thinking about going crabbing, sans crab pot. Has anyone done any crabbing by hand while diving? Any tips/tricks anyone could share?

Salvo bulb enclosure
After a dive today I noticed I had left my Salvo 35W HID on while I was on the shore. I immediately turned it off and noticed the bulb was very hot. In a brief moment of stupidity I thought "seems like a good idea to pour water on it to cool it off"... And now I have a can light with a sha...

Lost: Weight Pouch @ Cove 2 4/9
Hi All,
A buddy of mine was diving Cove 2 on Saturday (4/9) around 9AM and lost a weight pouch somewhere (probably at the beginning of the dive). If anyone find a weight pouch with the pull handle and Velcro type lock, please PM me.
Thanks

Re: Dive Caddy Contact?? Customer Service Will Not Respond...
Thanks for the replies so far. I reached out to my LDS who sells Dive Caddy gear to see if they have a contact that can make more head way. As far as the credit card, fortunately/unfortunately Dive Caddy warranties their product for life, so it didn't cost me anything to send in the turtle pack for ...

Dive Caddy Contact?? Customer Service Will Not Respond...
Hi All, Seeing how Dive Caddy is local I was hoping somebody might have a personal contact or an in with the company? I have a Gen 2 Dive Caddy and on the first use the turtle pack ripped. I contacted them in August to ship it to them (in Battle Ground, WA) and USPS says it was delivered August 26th...

BP&W and Dive Caddy
I am traveling to Hawaii and plan on packing my SS backplate and wing for the trip. I was given one of the Dive Caddy Gen 2 setups for my birthday and was going to try it out for carrying my gear on. Has anyone used a Dive Caddy with a stainless backplate? It seems like the bag is heavy on compressi...

Re: TSA & Nimh Battery Packs
A little off topic, but what about dive knives... Obviously they have to be put in checked luggage, but does that automatically get your bag searched? Do you include a note of why you have a dive knife?

How much lift?
I am taking a search and recovery class, which requires a 50 pound lift bag. I have an approximate 6'x6" SMB with dump valve which I think would work in lieu of a true lift bag, does anyone know how much lift this size of a SMB would have?

Re: Really bad news for Seattle divers
I imagine if it is a City building, the City Council will have to approve it at a Council meeting (I know from experience working for a City that the smallest things have to be approved by council, I once wanted to get a grant to cover expenses, and that had to be approved by the Council. Even expen...

FS: Pony Quick Disconnect Bracket
I have a pony bottle quick disconnect bracket with cam band. The pony bottle bracket fits a 30 cu ft for sure and possibly a 40 cu ft pony and with the cam band, attaches to your main tank. Bracket has two pins, which locks the pony portion to the main bracket, the pony bottle can be removed from th...
