Lion's Mane

A couple photos of a Lion's Mane from EUP last weekend. Seemed to be completely missing any long trailing tentacles.

That is what happens when they are on their last legs. This one is just about dead.

That's what I figured was probably the cause. Saw a much healthier looking one a few weeks ago at the fox island east wall, but of course had worse visibility and a macro lens...
