At 7:17 p.m. a caller in the 800 block of Lincoln Street said an intoxicated man was trying to provoke a fight with a diver in the water. The man jumped into the ocean naked, witnesses said, but no one was causing a disturbance when police arrived to check.

If I were that diver, I'd have said "come on in a-hole, the water is balmy!" :D

I was out on a surface swim once when I had a similar crazy instigator. For me, it was a dog out on a dock 5-10 feet away from us. The dog was barking and growling and snarling at us like crazy.
