BARE DEMO DAY !!!!

Hey everyone !! I am PLEASED to announce that Tacoma SCUBA Center and BARE are putting on a demo day!
It will take place at Les Davis on Saturday March 14th. Starts at 9 a.m. will go to 5 p.m.. Come down and try out a BARE dry suit for FREE !! We will have the BBQ going all day. If nothing else stop by for a FREE lunch!

Good deal Wally! I'll pencil it in on my calender. Glad to see them getting out competing with the other big dollar dry suit Mfg. Dad and I both already dive Bare and I recommend them highly. My CD4 has 400 dives on it and other than seals has had no problems.

You do not need a dry suit cert for this demo. There will be instructors on site to dive with.

I'm intrigued. However, I'm wondering about my reg. It should probably be serviced before I dive it (I borrowed it from a friend before driving out from WI), so will there be a way for me to rent/borrow one from someone? Even if I used mine, it wouldn't have a drysuit inflator hose - would that be something that could be remedied? Also, what about undergarments, gloves, etc?

Sounds like fun nonetheless!

There will be inflator hoses and undergarments. If you need other gear you can call the shop to arrange it. AND FREE FOOD!!!!!

Actually, my buddies back home joke that I have gills. I regularly came up with over 1000psi in my tank in the Bahamas when my buddy was coming up empty.

I came all the way down from Orcas Island to try out a drysuit (and do a few other miscellaneous things while in the area) and had a blast! It was a completely different experience, and though I was a little task-loaded, I enjoyed my first dive in the PNW I learned a lot: for example, ankle weights would make my learning to dive dry much easier, and that diving dry completely changes some things that I used to do all the time (for example, flipping upside-down a bit to look under something)

I hope I get the chance to come dive with you all again!
