I'd be happy to! Would you prefer approaching from shore or dropping down the line? :)
You have to do the drop down the line! Nothing better than the express elevator to 120 fsw!
I can think of a few things better.... Like not doing a drop straight down to 130 fsw for one. That being said, can I tag along?

This is a hike for this OR girl but is there a place (hotel) nearby that isn't really speedy or in use (ahem) by the hour?
Not sure if I want to bounce to 130- but would love to poke around and look for critters.... How far is this from Portland as I live 1 hour south of there....... Thanks!

Silver Cloud Inn is literally adjacent to the dive site.

I have had really good luck with the Extended Stay America in Mukilteo. The rooms are recently remodeled and I have never paid over $85 a night using Expedia. It is literally a ten minute drive from the dive site. Although the Silver Cloud is right at the dive site they tend to be $140 a night or more last time I checked. Come on up and join us! :partydance:

Closer to 5 hours if she's already an hour south of Portland.

sekhmet, if you're cat-tolerant, you can crash at our place. We're a half hour from the site, but the price is right.

I'm not even sure where I'm going to BE in February, let alone what my work schedule is, but if I'm free, I'll come to the dives. I've had great fun at all the ones I have made it to!

Lyyne,
What a great offer, you make me proud to be part of NWDC!

But I gotta ask, how many cats do you have? :rjack:

Are you one of those cat ladies? :smt064

Keith.

I imagine that the horses are too much of a distraction to be a truly dedicated cat lady.

Thank you Lynne, that is VERY nice of you. I am cat tolerant (hopefully since I have a cat myself). It's about a 4.5 hr drive for me to this dive but hey I'm motivated. If anyone else in Portlandia wants to hop on board on the way up that could be fun. I will keep you posted!

Bassman - you and me baby! Ok, I'm not really going to join you for a 120+ foot dive....

That said, I'm sure I can make it, as I live 15 minutes away, and the Muk is my crabbing playground.

I also have a couch for anyone cat, dog, and very jumpy puppy tolerant.

Hey folks. I joined a while ago but haven't posted. My wife and I live primarily in Illinois, but have a place in Seattle where we plan to be full time once our youngest is out of college - two more years. Anyway, we're starting to spend a lot more time out here, and plan to be back quite a bit in February and March. Did a solo at Mukilteo a few days ago and really enjoyed it. So, I'd like to join in on the dive. Anything I need to know or bring, other than be there for the scheduled splash time?

New members are required to bring 17 bags of chips to their first club dive...

Just kidding!

Welcome to NWDC!

Welcome to the party and glad you can make it! Jeremy might have some ideas for what people could bring to help out. See you in February!

As it turns out, I will be working that entire weekend. The crash pad offer is still open, but you will not only have to tolerate the cats (2) but my husband, too . . .

I've learned to put in the cat-tolerant part. It's amazing how many people are deathly allergic to the little guys.

I usually bring a couple boxes of Jammers :)

One thing we might need is another pop up shelter or two.

That's me. I can tell if there is a cat within minutes of stepping into a house.

This sounds like a fun day of diving and I will talk to the wife to see if I can make it out that early. I have Mr heater and a canopy I can bring if I am clear to join you guys.
