Another new diver here

Hello all.
I got certified last September, 2009. Originally got certified because I was going on vacation to Thailand and wanted to dive there. But now am hopelessly addicted.
I didn’t think I would like cold water diving, but man was I wrong. It’s got its own challenges, but it’s worth it.
I have a built in dive buddy, my husband, so that makes it easy.

I really want to learn and that is why I am reading these boards. If you have anything you want to share with me that you think would be a helpful piece of information to know, please do. The more knowledge the better.

If you ever see a short woman in a bright Purple dry suit, say hello!

There are a bunch of us Portland Metro area divers on here. Have you ever made it to the Oregon Scuba Club? They meet the first Thursday of every month in Tigard. http://www.oregonscuba.com/ . You may need to wear hip waders to get through the BS on here sometimes but there is also lots of great information and helpful people. There is also a forum just for Oregonians.
