Tidelog is hanging it up.

Post by lavachickie »

As a Tidelog "subscriber" I received a letter version of the message posted on their web site. In short, the owner is retiring, and while there will be no 2012 edition, he is looking for a buyer.

Bummer! I know the information is available in a lot of digital formats there days, but am I the only one that really loved the datebook-style format that one could browse and... lovingly finger the pages? I'm kinda bummed.

If you're looking for a paper copy of the a tidetable, pm paulicarp. I think his publishing company is putting theirs out soon.

Haven't used that weird little book in years. Liked the Escher graphics, despised the format of slack reporting.

The much better book

Sad news. That little book was a great resource, easy to throw in the car and take, easy to read. I hope somebody buys it and keeps it going...
