Is the operator of theperfectdive.com around on these forums?
There is a tad bit of spam on the website and I hope you can clean it off sometime.
I really enjoy the site and hope it continues to be in operation and expands.

I"ll also PM you on quite a few errors and omissions regarding a lot of the lake dive site names and coordinates.

Great. Any input makes the site descriptions better. We have very few lake dives listed, I would love to add more if you would like to help.

When diving somewhere new, your site is my first stop.

I recently decided to try Skyline wall having never done that dive before. I read up on that site both here on the Northwest Dive Club and on your site, theperfectdive.com. With all the information I could find, my wife and checked out the current tables and made the dive. The dive went off just as expected, easy ride out, moved up to the shallows and took the easy ride back surfacing straight off the back of my car. Dare I say, it was a perfect dive. Great site you (and NWDC) have.

I love to hear it. Skyline is a great dive, certainly one that has to be planned carefully but worth it!

Resurrecting an old thread…

I noticed this site is no longer around, and the user @chevayea hasn’t posted in 10 years. Anyone knows what happened?
I noticed several other dive sites also going silent… northwest dive sites.com is another one.

Is the population of divers dwindling, or was it COVID? Or was this because of liability, in that someone died and family blamed the websites?

Hi

I tracked down chevayea a while back and he mentioned he hasn't dove in a while. I think the site fell in disrepair and finally went down. You can still find it in in a somewhat usable form on the way back machine.

it's been very fascinating to discover all of what are now evidently the works of a "prior generation" or golden (emerald?) age of PNW diving.
All of us who started SCUBA in earnest after ~2010 really enjoy all of these local resources and information.
Thank you to those of you still maintaining them! (Including here at NW Dive Club! :notworthy: )
The metatribe lives on :thankyouyellow:
