Redondo, Sunday, June 24, 2023
My son and I traveled to Redondo for a morning dive.
Joined another 10+ divers with the same idea of a morning dive there.
Been at least 7 years since have dived the waters of Redondo.
Geared up in the parking lot, slogged across the roadway via the crosswalk and down the steps. (Watch that last step, it is a loooong one!)
Waded out and dropped down into the green waters of Puget Sound. The viz was awesome.......awesome horrible!!!! Maybe 2 to 3 feet.
So, made the logical choice of all divers, dropped the bottom and went crawling. Worked our way down the gentle slope to the drop off and descended quickly. Missed the east/west line. Went to 65 feet, viz did improve to a 5-7 feet range.
Decided that was enough fun with the poor viz and slowly headed back up.
Did see a few marine life with our muck diving.
Another time to return and see what artifacts are still there.
