long shot crab ID's

Post by Scott G »

Well they are very small and terribly well camoflauged... hard to believe i saw them at all...

Anyway, it seems that they remind me of something like a tear drop crab (or something like that)...

The thing that threw me off was that i found them in an estuary, but also found an RIL in the estuary recently, so who knows.

Greg?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Looks like a slender decorator crab to me but the smallest ones I've ever seen!

The second one is an Oregonia gracilis. The first is probably the same, but just too covered with stuff to be positive.
