Easter Egg Hunt

Post by dwashbur »

We attended the underwater Easter egg hunt put on by A2Z Scuba at Les Davis today and had a great time. My daughter didn't dive because she had a bad night, and Kathy and I wound up pairing with a couple of fairly new divers. Both were great buddies, and we had a wonderful time. The idea was to gather as many eggs - real hard-boiled eggs - as you could, and the one with the most won the grand prize. That turned out to be my buddy, which was pretty nifty.

There was one egg we didn't get because it had already been claimed. You can see by whom in this shot:

We didn't bother trying to take it away from him! A nice potluck afterward rounded out the day quite well. And the weather was incredible, couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. This was Kathy's and my 200th dive, and what a great way to celebrate it.

My pleasure. It was great to meet you and I hope we can dive some time. The rest of my pictures from yesterday are at

Just so you know, I usually take between 30 and 50 pictures, but yesterday only took 9 'cuz I was focused on helping Jesse find the eggs and win the prize :supz:

I also found a nice Cancer gracilis that appeared to be heavy with child, but couldn't get a picture...

I stopped at A to Z for the first time on my way back to Portland yesterday. I got my tank filled and checked out the shop. Great shop that was helpful and friendly. I have wanted to stop at A to Z on my north or south for a couple years and I am glad I finally did. Of course that is when I leaned I was missing all the fun at the Les Davis Easter egg hunt. Great photo of the egg poacher and it is kind of cool that our guest from WI. won the contest. :supz:

We concluded that a good caption for that picture would be:

Went out there today and found several eggs still intact.
