Excess gas is never a bad thing.

But letting it out in the wrong place can cause problems. (To be honest, though, I didn't learn that in OW, but in cave class :) )

Every once and a while, look back at the swath of destruction you might be leaving behind you.

Along those same lines, my husband came up with this one (hopefully not aimed at me!!)

Is this one dive related or general life?

Selkie, not sure if you read my original post - all these quotes are to have double meanings - that's the game! :geek:

I read it but it was yesterday and I am forgetful and I for sure have little memory of what I learned in OW class way back in 1982. I get confused on what I learned then and what was more recent including yesterday. Good thing it is Friday so I can forget this week and work on next week.

it may not be about ow course, but it is relevant to lessons learned underwater applying to real life. substantially more on topic than most hijacks.

another one from cave class is to keep swimming for the exit...

Don't poke at things. Most things bite when you poke at them. Also, the prettiest things normally sting or bite the worst.
