Tahsis BC - Gateway to Nootka Sound
Article by John Rawlings

The first aspect of the site that immediately draws your attention as you descend down through the jumble of rocks on a gradual slope is that virtually everything is completely covered with a literal blanket of brilliant red and pink Strawberry anemones, making Mozino Point one of the most amazingly colorful dives to be found anywhere.

The really interesting thing about it is that we spent a week in the big rental house and didn't watch one single Kung-Fu movie!!! Calvin would have had a hissy-fit! :smt064

You know, I completely forgot to ask him that!

He's been reading this thread, though, so maybe he'll answer you directly.

We DID however watch perhaps the greatest zombie movie ever: Zombieland!
Hmmm...a new tradition perhaps?

We brought our own, but Scott appears to be working on that now that Curt's introduced him to heliair.

Loved the article -- I could absolutely hear Curt in fine form over the radios. I'm terribly sorry I wasn't able to make this trip, because any ADM trip is high on my list of "must-dos" after our great time in Port Hardy!

Oh, rub it in, John! I got my tech cert for two things -- cloud sponges and red gorgonians, and have yet to see the latter!

Which is the BIG advantage of Nootka Sound....you can see BOTH on the same dive!

Haven't gone back down to Nudi Kung Fu cuz no one can seem to get past the Narrows. It's still waiting for your return visit.

We need to come back with a team to explore new sites and see what else is out there! I'm betting that there's some really magical stuff just waiting to be discovered and dived!!! :taco:

I think I found another couple of sites the weekend you guys left but they need a little more investigation. One kind'a disappears into the darkness at about 70 feet. Have to mess with Curt's heliair recipes and then go have a look. I could definately use a bunch of folks to explore for new site tho'.
