I encountered this individual fairly deep at Sund Rock this past Friday. At first glance I thought it was a young Giant or maybe a red dendronotid, because I had seen those species here before. After studying it a bit closer I am not sure.
After looking through Lamb's Marine Life and Behrens Eastern Pacific Nudi I am leaning towards a white spotted dendronotid, but have never seen one before, so it is definitely a guess.
Thoughts?

Awesome find! If it had been me the rest of the dive would have been right there! I'd have had a camera full of one species.

Talked to Dave Behrens today and he verified that it is a white spotted dendronotid. Congrats on a really cool find. Approximately where and how deep was it. Dave is curious.
