KVI & Saltwater 4-14

Spent Sunday diving KVI & Saltwater, vis was maybe 15-20ft. Saltwater never disappoints with the variety of rockfish and the large lingcod , although I noted the fish populations at KVI definitely seemed lower than I remember. Also could not find any octopus at KVI even though I located several good den locations as evidenced by the middens. The nice weather and light wind made for a nice cruise back while cooking brats on the bbq. That makes Sunrise the only place that I have seen any octopus in the last month. Zee's Reef , KVI , Saltwater , North Wall , Dalco and the east side of the Narrows have been empty of octopus in the last 3 weeks. Up side though the vis at North Wall was 40-50ft on Saturday.

Dove Saltwater a week ago, found 2 GPO there, one almost all the way out in the open.
